Partnering with Parents

Partnering with Parents
Being a parent can be the most important job one could ever have. It can be the most rewarding and at the same time can be the most taxing. Parents typically work incredibly hard to ensure the needs of their children are met. So when a child has multiple needs, parents are often faced with the difficulty of accessing multiple supports and services. Delays, red tape, and other hurdles can seem insurmountable. Counseling For PROGRESS, LLC, LLC values the work you do on behalf of your child/children and will work together with you to meet the needs of your child.
Unfortunately, parents are often blamed for a child’s difficulties. Ms. Hahn does not blame parents. Instead, she partners and collaborates with them. Parents usually have seen their child’s growth and development over time, and they’ve seen their child’s successes and their pain. Thus, parents usually have the best understanding of the child as a unique person with many strengths. By working together, Counseling For PROGRESS, LLC and parents can provide longer-lasting supports that can transition more smoothly from the office to the home and back in a coordinated fashion. When parent(s) and the counselor work together as a team, the child often makes more progress.
Unique Services for Unique Children!
Flexible and Creative
When children, artists, or other people prefer counseling that includes art (drawing, painting, sculptures, crafts, etc.), play therapy, music, games, drama/role-playing/improv, creative writing (journal, life story, poetry, etc.), meditation or mindfulness, sensory (aroma, tactile, sounds, etc.), or other creative approaches, Ms. Hahn has the flexibility and creativity to blend expressive elements into the therapeutic process according to individual preferences.
